I remember walking into the Wedding venue and as I entered the reception hall to get ready to meet my Groom, the first thing I noticed was the beautifully coloured tiered wedding cake standing on the opposite side of the room. You could not miss it – my first words to the bridal party was “it’s exactly the way I saw it in my mind’s eye – it’s absolutely perfect!”
And perfect it was, not only in presentation but it tasted great too; the exact texture that we had described to Christa! It was more than just a wedding cake – it was a dream come true!

My husband and I tied the knot on 25 October 2008. One of the most exciting aspects of planning the wedding was, without a doubt, the wedding cake. After an extensive internet search and a few cake tasting sessions, we decided on Florentine's bakery.
The cake was an exquisite chocolate fudge creation, topped with chocolate ganache, radiant red roses and berries. Despite being upset about being 2 hours late for the wedding (both cars broke down en route, what's the chances, hey?...), I was so excited and happy when I saw the cake as I entered our wedding venue. Everyone who tasted the cake, said that it was the best cake they ever had. In fact, during the first week of our honeymoon, we couldn't wait to get out of bed... to eat more wedding cake.
We vowed to order a cake at Florentines every year. Our first wedding anniversary is coming up in 2 months time, and even though we haven't planned any celebrations yet, the cake has been ordered already!
